Melinda R. Scott, age 42, of Fairmont, NC died at on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 5, 1970 to Bobby McGee and Elizabeth Oxendine McGee She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband, Gary Scott of the home; her parents, Bobby and Elizabeth McGee of Fairmont; and three brothers,
Bobby McGee, Jr. of Fairmont, Michael McGee of Lumberton, and Jerry McGee of Fairmont.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Fairmont with Rev. Roy Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairpoint Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont.
