Mavis Stone Branch, age 90, of Orrum, NC passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 5, 1933 in Robeson County, NC to the late Clyde Bean and the late Pauline Stone Bean Tucker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carlton Branch, Sr.; two sons, Edward Carlton Branch, Jr. and Edward Carlton Branch, III; one daughter, Nancy Kay Graham; her maternal grandparents who raised her, Dan Stone and Lou Stone; one brother, Joe Bean.

Ms. Branch is survived by two daughters, Ann Cooper of Orrum, NC and Sue Crawford (John) of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Doris Hardin (William) of Thomasville, NC; two grandchildren,  Cameron Lee (Grady) and Matt Cooper (Beth) and a host of friends.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Bloomingdale Baptist Church, 1758 Bloomingdale Church Road, Orrum, NC.  Funeral services will immediately follow in the church at 2:00 PM.

Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, Hwy 130 West, Fairmont, NC.
