Maude Nye McKee, 86, of Lumberton died on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice in Lumberton. She was born on March 23, 1925 to Joseph Burke Nye and Vera Johnson Nye.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Burke Nye and Vera Johnson Nye; brothers, J.V., Earl and Ted; and half-sister Louella.

Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband of 68 years, Spencer McKee; a sister, Ruth Ferrell of Clayton; a brother, Edd Nye of Elizabethtown; sons, Bobby McKee, Jimmy and Anne McKee of Lumberton, Tony and Amanda McKee of Greenville; a daughter, Sharon and Ted Hudler of Lumberton; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Godwin Heights Baptist Church, a great cook and a wonderful homemaker, a member of Eastern Star, worked at Belk and Shain??s Jeweler??s in downtown Lumberton and sold Stanley products.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. David Holloway officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
