Mattie Louise Parham, age 88, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Highland Acres Nursing Center in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on August 10, 1928 to the late English and Alice Collins Hardin.  She previously was a hospital CNA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Parham; and a son, Jimmy Walters.

Mrs. Parham is survived by her sons, Ray Simmons, and Joe Simmons (Bridgette) both of Buffalo, NY; daughters, Sharon Parham of Lumberton, and Sue Parham Singleton (Jerry) of Oak Island; step-son, Billy Parham of Lumberton; step-daughters, Glenda Parham of Southport, and Ann Cox of Lumberton; brother, Loddrick Hardin of Lumberton; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at R.F. Walters Cemetery in Orrum with Rev. David Anderson officiating.  A time for visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
