Mrs. Mary Sue Carter Hunt, age 63, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 25, 1963 to the late George & Mary Carter.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, June Taylor, and her sister, Melissa Goins.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray Hunt; her sisters: Jean Chavis, Jane Carter, Kathleen Taylor, and Teresa Marello; and a special friend, Robert Lockee.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
