Mary Lois Stone, age 90, of 305 Piney Wood Road, Thomasville, NC, formerly of Lumberton, died January 11, 2012. She was born in Robeson County on February 22, 1921.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sone; her sisters, Gaynell B. Lewis and Elna Mae B. Bass; her brothers, Quinton Brumbles, Hoyle Brumbles and Billy Brumbles.

She is survived by her step-children, Larry Stone, Alfred Mordecai and Bennett Stone; step-granddaughter, Sabrina Pruitt and husband, Fred; nieces, Minnie Taylor, Shirley McLamb, Jeanette Byrd, Carolyn Collins, Shelby Anders, Geraldine Potts, Linda Edwards, Margaret Cox and Mamie Evans; and nephews, Alwyn Lewis, Gene Brumbles, Carldon Bass and Robert Bass.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 12:30-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 3:00PM at Broadridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumberton.
