Mary Ann Stanton Pittman, age 79, of Lumberton passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 21, 2026. Ann was born in Robeson County on June 2, 1946 to the late Wendell Morrison Stanton and the late Agnes Byrd Stanton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Pittman, Jr, brother; Wendell Morrison Stanton, Jr, sister; Sue Stanton Gaines, son-in-law; Barry Lynn Hester.

Ann is survived by her daughter; Cindy Pittman Hester, son; Robert Lee Pittman, III , grandchildren; Summer Lynn Hester, Blake Dodradge Inman (Stephanie), great-grandchildren; Elizabeth "Lizzy" Inman, Johnny Dodradge Inman, Anna "Annie" Catherine Inman, niece; Brittany Waddell (Joey), nephew; Brandon Gaines (Kevin Radlke), great-nephews; Landon and Cooper Waddell, and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Meadowbrook Cemetery, 400 W. 24th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Rev. Herbert Lowry will officiate the service.
