Mary Lew Parnell Willoughby, 75, of 1105 East 9th Street, Lumberton, NC, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House. She was born February 27, 1934 to the late Lewis Parnell and Elizabeth King in Knoxville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Elizabeth King Parnell; her husband Fred Willoughby; and daughter Lisa Rigsbee.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Willoughby and wife, Cathy of Lumberton, NC; daughter, Keenan Willoughby of Lumberton, NC; a brother Mike Parnell of Portsmouth, VA; and four sisters, Jerry Atchley, Gail Raynor and Linda Cartwright of Portsmouth, VA and Rinda Stone of Lumberton, NC; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Memorial Chapel at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC. with the Reverend Tim Tyner officiating.
