Mary Jackson Parnell, 82, of Tampa, FL and formerly of Robeson County, NC died on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Countryside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Palm Harbor, FL. She was born in Robeson County on January 4, 1929 To the late Claude C. and Martha Smith Jackson. She formerly worked as manager of B & B Seafood Restaurant.

Along with her parents, Claude C. and Martha Smith Jackson she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mitchell Parnell.

Mrs. Parnell is survived by her son, Ronnie Parnell and wife, Patricia of Lumberton; daughters, Cheryl Burchell of Plato, MO, Patricia Trivett and husband Sam of Bunnell, FL, Janet Bond and husband Jack of Sebastian, FL and Cynthia Larsen and husband David of Tampa FL; a brother, James Jackson of Detroit, MI; sister, Dovie Lamb of Lumberton; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Charles Brust officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
