Ms. Mary Margaret Locklear Oxendine, 76, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Monday July 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 17, 1949 in Robeson County to the late Winford Locklear and the late Beulah Brooks Locklear; her husband, Sanford Oxendine; her brothers, Robert, Winford, Jr., Billy, Charles and Jerry; and a sister, Shirley Mae Locklear.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sheryl Oxendine of the home and Tracy Marie Oxendine (Brian) of Fairmont; one son, Steven Joseph "Papa" Oxendine (Melody) of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Joseph and Skyla Oxendine; a sister, Catherine Hammonds of Pembroke; one brother, James Lee Locklear of Fairmont and a host of other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Dogwood Baptist Church, 1417 Iona Church Road, Rowland. A funeral service will immediately follow in the church at 3:00 PM.

Burial will follow in Dogwood Baptist Church Cemetery, 1417 Iona Church Road, Rowland, NC.
