Mary Elizabeth Norment, age 89, of 2001 N. Barker Street, Lumberton, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:30AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Steve Little officiating.

Mrs. Norment was a lifelong resident on Lumberton. She was the daughter of Malcolm McCree and Bell Edmund Rozier. Mrs. Norment was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Norment. They were married for 51 years. She was a member of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in Lumberton.

Surviving are her son, William Malcolm Rowan of Lumberton and her grandson, William Charles Rowan of Wilmington.
