Mrs. Mary Locklear Mitchell of Fairmont, NC was born June 6, 1951 in Dillon, SC. and departed this life October 19, 2022 making her journey of 71 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Locklear, and Sarah Elizabeth Locklear; and an infant son, Kelvin Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish memories her husband of 52 years, Kale Mitchell of the home; a son, Gregory Mitchell (Betty) of Fairmont, NC; three grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell, Destiny Mitchell, and Samuel Mitchell, all of Fairmont, NC; two brothers, John Locklear (Lola) of Pembroke, NC and (her twin), Joseph Locklear (Debbie) of Copperas Cove, Texas; four sisters, Bessie Hunt, Myrtle Lewis, Phyllis Oxendine (Vernell) and Betsy Jones (Joseph), all of Rowland, NC; special nieces, and nephews that she loved dearly and a host of other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday October 23, 2022 from 2:00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM in the chapel with Rev. Rodney Hunt, Rev. Dennis Hunt, Rev. Stelton Locklear and Rev. Larry Oxendine officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 207 Industrial Drive, Fairmont.
