Mrs. Mary Louise Lawson Britt, age 85, of Orrum, arrived in her Heavenly home on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Southeastern Hopice House in Lumberton. She was born on June 22, 1928 to the late James Arthur Lawson and the late Polly Barnes Lawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rowland Caswell Britt; two brothers, Horace Lawson and Ray Lawson and two sisters, Neures Ivey and Helen Christman. She leaves to cherish her memories with her son, Arthur Rowland Britt and wife, Bonita of Orrum; her brother, Billy Lawson of Saluta, VA; her grandchildren, Chris Britt and wife, Marissa, Miranda Chavis and husband, Chris, and Ross Britt and wife, Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Alice Faye Britt; a dear friend, Grace Baxley; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Penny. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Warren Hill, Rev. W. C. Baxley, Rev. Robert Britt an Rev. Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
