Mary McCarter Kinlaw, age 68, of Lumberton, NC died on October 24, 2009 a Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 6, 1941 to Oscar George and Mary Carver McCarter in Burke County. She was the owner/operator of Frames-R-Us.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Lewis Kinlaw, a son, James Lee Duckworth; and a brother George McCarter.

Mrs. Kinlaw is survived by three sons, Rufus Duckworth and wife, Donna of Bladenboro, NC, Tony Duckworth and wife, Maxine of Holly Ridge, NC, and Brian Duckworth and wife, Rose of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Robert McCarter of Charlotte, NC, Mike McCarter of Troutman, NC; two sisters, Margie Bolmer and Carolyn Parker both of Mooresville, NC; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held of Monday, October 26, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Braodwell officiating. A time for visitation will follow the service.
