Mary Lou Jordan, age 92, of Fairmont passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Glenflora in Lumberton, NC. A Graveside service will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC. Family will receive friends following the graveside service. She was born September 6, 1920 in Fairmont. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother full of encouragement and strength, and cherished grandmother. She was the office manager and book keeper for South Roberson Veterinary Clinic for 30 years and an active member of Fairmont First Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph C. Moore and Maude Oliver Moore; her husband, Dr. Milton Truett Jordan. She is survived by four daughters, Lu Jordan Lewis and husband Jeff of Fairmont, Penny Livingston and husband David of Newport, NC, Sally Jordan of Fairmont and Truett Buie and husband Jack of Red Springs; five grandchildren, Ckeppen McLaurin of Fairmont, Kammeron Polverari, and husband Ernie of Fairmont, Kelsey Rodriguez of St. Petersburg, FL., Jordan Taylor of Charlotte, and Alexandra Livingston of Greensboro, and five great-grandchildren, Audrey Polverari, Abbey Polverari, Jaden Rodriguez, Madison Rodriguez, and Kenneth Taylor.
