Mary was born in Brooklyn N.Y. and raised in Woodbridge N.J. with nine siblings.

She married Harry Hautz and moved to Edison N.J. Harry passed at a young age leaving Mary with three young children. A few years later she married Theodore Caliendo who had two children of his own. Mary was an Executive Secretary at John F. Kennedy hospital in Edison N.J. until Theodore retired and they moved to Lumberton N.C. in 1987.

Mary Caliendo was an inspiration to everyone she knew. A truly loving and caring woman. She will be missed, but the joyous memories of her will live on.

Mary was active in the Optimist Club, church functions at St. Francis De Sale, and a volunteer teacher at Robeson County Community College Adult Basic Education Transition.

Mary Caliendo was preceded in death by Harry Hautz and Theodore Caliendo; and a daughter, Cynthia Hautz Shapiro (Robert).

She is survived by children, Carol Caliendo Cerase (William), Charles Caliendo, Bruce Hautz (Theresa) and Heather Hautz Kaiser (Michael); grandchildren, Susan Thalheimer, Elisa Carlucci, Joyce Caliendo, Theodore Caliendo, Jason Shapiro, Brian Shapiro, Nicole Hautz, Ellie Hautz, Mathew Kaiser and Keith Kaiser; great-grandchildren, Giada Thalheimer, Paloma Carlucci, Lorenzo Carlucci, Andrew Shapiro and Abigail Shapiro; and a sister, Barbara Batha.

Per Mary's request, there will not be any Memorial Services.
