Mary Ruth Broadaway, age 61, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Southeastern Health.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 28, 1954 to the late Lloyd Earl and Lula Britt Bass.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Lloyd Earl Bass, Jr. and Luther Wayne Bass.

Mrs. Broadaway is survived by her husband Wayne Broadaway of Lumberton: sons, Nathan Broadaway (Sommer) of Orrum, and Joel Broadaway (Brooke) of Leland; daughter, Christy Crumpler (Ken) of Dunn; brother, Lee Bass of Wilmington; sister, Linda Willoughby (Paul) of Evergreen; and five grandchildren, Justin Anderson, Brody Broadaway, London Broadaway, Saylor Broadaway, and Charles Crumpler.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on  Monday from 11:00-12:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
