Ms. Mary Shooter Atkinson age 98 of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. Ed Wilcox officiating.

Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-3:00PM one hour prior to the service at Floyd Funeral Services.

She was born July 12, 1917 in Robeson County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Shooter and Cora Harrelson Shooter; her husband John Atkinson; a daughter, Brenda Atkinson Templeton.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice Moody of Lumberton; a son, Charles Atkinson of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
