Marvin Smith, age 88, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, July 8, 2016.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on February 22, 1928 to the late Fred and Madie Wilkins Smith.  He was a self-employed farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wade, Mac, LZ, Woody, David, and Bundy; and sisters, Genova Ausley and Plumie Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Helen Allen Smith of the home; sons, Marvin Gerald Smith (Martha Ann) of Lumberton, Randy Glenn Smith (Angie) of Brunswick County, Freddie Wayne Smith (Felicia) of Lumberton, and Rodney Lynn Smith (Angie) of Lumberton; brother, Leroy Smith of Four Oaks; sister, Hazel Smith of Henderson; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 09, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Smith Family Cemetery with Rev. LeRoy Burke officiating.
