Marvin Henry Jernigan, age 63, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. He was born in Robeson County on September 27, 1948 to the late Fletcher and Letha Jernigan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jernigan.

Mr. Jernigan is survived by his wife, Karen Wilcox Jernigan, of the home; one son, Brian Heath Jernigan and wife, Candice of Hampstead, MD; three daughters, Tara Jernigan Sinclair of Lumberton, NC, Natalie Jernigan Horne and husband, Lance of Wake Forest, NC, and Shelley Jernigan of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Shirley Jernigan Russ and husband, Danny of Lumberton; seven grandchildren, Alexandria Horne, Camren Jernigan, Nathan Sinclair, Emma Jernigan, Rylan Horne, Abigail Jernigan and Sydney Jernigan and mother-in-law, Kathleen Edwards of Bladenboro, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:00PM at Antioch Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating.
