Mr. Marvin Bradley Thompson, age 89, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on February 16, 1932, to the late George Bradley Thompson and the late Minnie Mae Lewis Thompson.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Lola Belle Reynolds Thompson; his late wife, Mary Louise West Thompson; a son, Curtis Lee Thompson; and a brother, Ralph Lewis Thompson.

He is survived by two sons, Andy L. Thompson of the home and Bradley W. Thompson (Linda) of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Diana L. Hinds (Howard) of Bladen County, NC; two grandchildren, Tracy Hinds Buechler (Cory) of Phoenix, AZ and Samantha Thompson Todd (Jason) of Lafayette, IN; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Abby; two brothers, James Earl Thompson (Ruth) and Ronald Hugh Thompson (Brenda), all of Whiteville, NC; and a sister, Sara Thompson Ward of Whiteville, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC and other times at the home of Bradley Wayne Thompson, 1950 Snake Road in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 3:00 PM at East Lumberton Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Bowen and Pastor LeRoy Burke officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
