Martha Lee Taylor Lawson, 89, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC surrounded by her family. She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 26, 1933 to the late Howard & Nellie Taylor. She spent her early years painting cars and drag racing with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Buddy Taylor; her brothers: Martin Taylor, R.M. Taylor, W.M. Taylor, and A.J. Taylor; her sister, Laura Mae Turner; her son, Charlie Taylor; and her great-grandchildren: Logan Hendren and Luke Hendren.

She is survived by her husband, Craven Lawson of the home; her children: Bob Taylor, Jeff Taylor (Patty), Carl Lawson (Lee), and Rose Herring (Tony); her grandchildren: Kevin Taylor (Y'tonia), Meagan Hendren (Jarrod), Kacie Taylor, Brendt Bowen (Carrie), Kristy Jackson (Alex), Michael Taylor, Chad Taylor (Morgan), Rodney Herring (Monica), Heather Locklear (Henry), Brad Lawson, and Brandon Lawson; her great-grandchildren: Sam, Nathan, Katie, Blake, Max, Brady, Waylon, Savannah, Hannah, Tyler, Isaiah, Greyson, and John; her great-great-granddaughter, Aaria; her brothers, Howard Earl Taylor and Kenny Taylor; her sisters: Evelyn Kalal, Mary Lou Register, Nellie Mae Richardson, and Juneal Smith; and numerous special nieces and nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at West Family Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
