Martha Billings Jones, age 83, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. She was born on December 11, 1925 in Mercer County, WV to Edward Griffith Billings and Curl Williams. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis Jones of Lumberton, NC, Terry Jones of Rocky Mount, VA and Donnie Penney of Conover, NC; three daughters, Kay Jones and Carol Atkinson both of Lumberton, NC and Connie Taylor of Trape Hill, NC; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Jones and Rev. Glenn Grant officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.
