Mr. Mark Locklear, age 55, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

He was born March 16, 1971 in Robeson County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curlie Locklear; his maternal grandparents, Worth R. Chavis and Evie Mae Canady Chavis; and his paternal grandparents, Wilbert Locklear and Maddie L. Locklear.

Mark loved fishing, basketball and was well known for his tinkering skills.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Flora Chavis Locklear of the home; three brothers, Kip C. Locklear (Sandra) and Kenny Locklear (Christy), both of Lumberton, and Jamie Locklear (Towonaka) of Rowland; a special friend, Layton Jones of Fairmont and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 2:00-3:00PM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church, 3047 McDonald Road, Fairmont. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
