Marjorie Nichols Holmes passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at GlenFlora Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NC.  Margie was born in Marion, NC on August 19, 1926 to the late Robert and Jessie King Nichols.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Craven (Chip) Holmes; brothers, Hoyt Nichols, Bobby Nichols and Michael Nichols; sisters, Doris B. Nichols, Naomi Wright, Laura Elliott, Frances O'Dear and Anna Woody.

Margie was a member of First Baptist Church of Lumberton, NC.  She retired from Chrysler Corporation of Newark, Delaware in 1985 and relocated to Lumberton, NC.

The family left behind to cherish her memories are sisters-in-law, Frances Holmes Averitt of Lumberton and Mary Holmes of Lumberton; nieces, Donna Milton Morgan and Susanne (Donnie) Hunt of Lumberton and Joyce (Harold) Davis of Marion, NC; nephews, Jimmy Holmes (Carleen) of Richmond, TX and Robert Nichols of Delaware.

A private graveside service will be held at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lumberton Lion's Club or to the charity of your choice.
