Mrs. Marilyn Lee Helms, wife of Mr. Timothy N. Helms, age 58, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Duke University Hospital of Durham, NC. She was born on January 1, 1955 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Harold Franklin Miner and the late Dorothy Lois Miner. She retired from Robeson County Dept. of Social Services. Her hobbies included horseback riding, painting, crocheting, gardening, and fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Helms, and a brother, Charles F. Miner. Mrs. Helms is survived by her husband, Tim Helms, of White Oak, NC; two sons, Jason Mitchell, of Orlando, FL, and Michael Helms, also of White Oak, NC; four brothers, John Borek, Jr. and wife, Lois, of Duluth, GA, Leonard Miner and wife, Laurie, of Stockbridge, GA, Robin Miner and wife, Roberta, also of Stockbridge, GA, and Jeff Miner, of Forest Park, GA; two sisters, Charlotte Knox and husband, David, of Conyers, GA, and P.J. Wager and husband, Mark, of Newman, GA; and one grandchild, R.J. "Doodlebug" Helms, Jr.
