Marie Brock Prevatte, age 80, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Golden Living Center. She was born in Robeson County, NC on December 11, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Lydia Moore Brock; her husband Charles Ervin Prevatte, Sr.; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Charles Ervin Prevatte, Jr. (Melissa) of Lumberton; two daughters, Linda Lamb (Larry) of Fairmont and Beverly Lay (Frank) of Asheville; one brother, Aaron Brock (Jean) of Laurinburg; one sister, Annie Ruth Meares of Lumberton; six grandchildren, Josh Lamb, Ann Marie Patella, Charles Ervin Prevatte III (Chad), Summer Prevatte, Frank Lay II, and Kimberly Lay; and six great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 2:00-2:45 PM at the home of Mrs. Prevatte.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Prevatte Family Cemetery on Carthage Rd. with Rev. Jami Lewter officiating.
