Marie McCormick Leggett, age 88, died on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wade Leggett; her parents, A.M. (Sandy) McCormick and Minnie Jane Snipes McCormick; two sisters, Gladys Costello and Bernice Wilcox.

Mrs. Leggett is survived by two daughters, Susan Leggett Walters of Lumberton, NC and Brenda Leggett Ford and husband George of Lumberton, NC; one son, Ron Leggett and wife Sherry of Laurinburg, NC; four grandchildren, George Ford, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Sandra Ford and Garret Walters of Lumberton, NC, and Kristin Leggett of Laurinburg, NC; three great-grandchildren, Blake Ford of Dublin, NC, Joseph Atkinson and Matthew Atkinson of Lumberton, NC and Dylan Williamson of Laurinburg, NC; two nieces, Rita Wilcox Constantino of West Palm Beach, FL and Karen Costello Miller of Garner, NC; and a very good life long friend, Jessie Nye of Lumberton, NC.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Leggett to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
