Maria Cooke's Obituary
Maria Davis Cooke, age 58, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on August 10, 1957 to Charlie Dee Davis and the late Joretta Stone Davis. She worked as a secretary for Da-Co Inc.
Mrs. Cooke is survived by her husband, Thurman George Cooke, Jr. of the home; her father, Charlie Dee Davis of Lumberton; son, Jeremy Cooke (Debbie) of Arlington, TX; sisters, Wanda Hodge (Tommy) of Lumberton and Chandra Britt (Dick) of Fairmont; and three grandchildren, Davis Cooke, Lyric Foster, and Melody Foster.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
The funeral service will be on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gerald Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
