Mrs. Marguerite Hardin Davis, age 97, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 3, 1925, to the late Gregory and the late Velma Hardin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Davis, her sisters, Hettie Herring and Sue Sessoms, a brother, Jimmy Hardin, and a granddaughter, Devin Davis.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Most of all she loved her family and friends and instilled good values in her family that have served them well. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Davis (fiancé, Pat) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Wayne Davis (Barbara) of Fairmont NC, her grandchildren Greg Davis (Sheith), Kim Jackson (Mike), Jennifer Barwick (Steve), Lori Davis (Mark), and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Iona Presbyterian Church, 6222 Iona Church Road, Fairmont, NC, 28340.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
