Margie Lee Butler Stubbs, 85, of Lumberton, NC, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 28, 1936 to the late Ed & Maggie Butler.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Stubbs; two brothers, Ed Butler, Jr. and Robert Butler; and a sister, Shirley Butler.

She is survived by her children: Carolyn Stubbs and Howard Stubbs, Jr. (Dorothy) of Archdale, NC, Charles Stubbs of Charlotte, NC, Jonathon "Bill" Stubbs of Thomasville, NC, Mary Ann Laboray (Craig) of Beaumont, TX, and Susie Gardener and Jessica Stubbs, both of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Charles Butler of McDonald, NC and Otha Butler of Panama City, FL; three sisters: Betty Stallings and Kathy Herring, both of Lumberton, NC, and Brenda Barfield of Fairmont, NC; and her grandchildren: Shane Miller, Wallace King, Dustin King, Michaela Stubbs, Alyssa Stubbs, Kenneth Stubbs, Thomas Stubbs, Steffanie Annette White, Jonathan Michael Sweeney, Kirsten Nicole Markow, Kyle Lee Markow, Ashley Bowman, Jonathan Stubbs, Jr., Erica Stubbs, and Darren Flannery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Chris Jones officiating.
