Margie Lee Jones Hunt, age 76, of Red Springs passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

Ms. Margie was born March 21, 1950 in Robeson County to the late James Jones and the late Jessie Lee Demery Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hunt; a brother, Alfred Jones and two sisters, Regina Chavis and Reba Jones.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Walters (Carro) of Lumberton, Renee Walters (Victor) of Orrum and Josephine Sanderson (Ricky) of Red Springs; three brothers, Charlie Ray Jones (Teresa), Robin Jones (Vera Rose) both of Fairmont and Junior Jones of Pembroke; two sisters, Kathleen Locklear of Red Springs and Martha Jane Bullard of Fairmont; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. The funeral will immediately follow in the chapel at 3:00 PM.
