Margaretta Humphrey Harper, age 91, of Lumberton, NC died at her residence on Sunday, May 29, 2011. She was born in Cumberland County, NC on November 11, 1919 to Charles and Charlotte Kivitt Humphrey. She previously worked as an inspector for West Point Pepperell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hudson Harper.

Mrs. Harper is survived by two sons, Henry Byron Harper and wife Mantha of the home and Charles Harper of Lumberton; a daughter, Elizabeth Cribb and husband Charles of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Ovolia Cameron of Loris, SC and Virginia Coleman of Newport News, VA; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Gardens of Faith Mausoleum with Rev. Greg Locklear officiating. Entombment will follow.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
