Ms. Margaret Cox passed peacefully on May 18, 2023. She was 81 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd Richardson and Mary Gore; her husband, Tilman Cox; 3 sisters, Pauline Barfield, Lois "Peggy" Richardson Edmond, and Betty McLamb; and 2 brothers, Floyd Ray Richardson, and Boyd Eugene Richardson.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Cox (Nanette), Timmy (Lisa), and Daryl Moody; her daughter, Gina Branch (Howard); her grandchildren, Shannon Holmes (Steven), Gary Wayne Cox, Jr. (Melissa), Misty Cox (April), Joel Cox (Samantha), Josh Cox (Jessica), Zach Cox (Kristen), Magan McDaniel (Matt), Brittany Evans (Dereck), Jeromy Branch (Tracy); her great-grandchildren, Seth, Luke, Micah, Brantley, Elijah, Ellie, Kalli, Dalton, Bailey, Brooks, Paityn, Levi, Bryleigh, Layce, and Austyn; and her sisters, Irene Britt, Gail Allen, Pat Hedgepeth, Nellie Mae Richardson, and Lousie Richardson.

Ms. Margaret was a member of Mt. Elim Baptist Church and a professional seamstress.

Services will take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Elim Baptist Church, with visitation the hour prior to the service. Reverend James Graham will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to Mt. Elim Baptist Church.
