Ms. Margaret Ruth McLean, age 97, of Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She was born in Maxton, NC on May 24, 1924 to the late Arthur & Charity Agnes McLean.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Fulton McLean and Archie McLean, and four sisters: Grayce McLean, Mildred Thompson, Katie McDonald, and Agnes Smith Ray.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Hill Newton of Durham, NC; a niece, Sybil Smith Davis of Nesquehoning, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.
