Margaret Pearl Lewis Edwards, age 89, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.  She was born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 20, 1927 to the late Claude and Edith Rising Lewis.  She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Jennings Edward, Sr.; three brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, Robert Jennings Edwards, Jr. of the home.

A time of visitation will take place on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. David Anderson officiating.
