Mrs. Margaret Sue Downing Deaver, age 71, of Orrum, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Accordius Health in Aberdeen, NC. She was born in Robeson County on July 20, 1948 to the late Ralph Downing and the late Hessie Britt Downing.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hesbeth Downing.

She is survived by her husband, William Deaver of the home; her son, Eugene Downing and wife Sally of Lumberton, NC; two grandchildren, Courtney Arvai and husband Alex and Summer Downing; one great-grandson, Braxton Doucet; a brother, Lacy Downing of Winston-Salem, NC; and two sisters, Linda Francis of Westfield, NC and Myrtle Parker of Evergreen, NC.

A private graveside service will be held at Taylor Family Cemetery in Lumberton.
