Mrs. Margaret Pope Britt, age 82, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on November 9, 1942 to the late Maurice Johnson Pope and the late Althea Fields Pope.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Britt, Jr.

Margaret is survived by her goddaughter, Kimberly Britt Waggoner (Jerry) of Fairmont; her godson, Charles Scott Wester (Denna) of Fairmont; special sister-in-law, Janice Britt (Elton) of Fairmont; one brother, Henry Maurice "Buddy" Pope of Lumberton and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12:00-1:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:30PM at the Britt Family Cemetery on Pinewood Road in Fairmont.
