Mrs. Manetta Williams Floyd of 4086 Old Stage Road was born April 26, 1932 in Des Arc, Arkansas. She died Monday March 30, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. Floyd; her parents, Noah and Bessie Williams; two brothers, Freeland Williams and Curtis Williams; and one sister, Elwanda Estes. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont and other times at the home. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Revs. James Malloy and Dalma Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by her son Steve A. Floyd and his wife Robin of Fairmont; a grandson, Scott Floyd of Raleigh; two brothers, Willard Williams of Arkansas and Carlos Williams of Tennessee; and one sister, Marjorie Hart of Arkansas.
