Magnolia Kilgore Lawson, age 75, of Shallotte, NC died on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at High-Smith Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.  She was born in Jasper, AL on June 3, 1941 to the late William H. Kilgore and the late Eloise Halcomb Kilgore.  She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie "Pop" Lawson; and a sister, Nellie Patton.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by her son, Robert Lawson (Sharon) of Lumberton; daughters, Rhonda Lawson of Shallotte and Sandra Prevatt (Berry) of Whiteville; brothers, William "Bill" Kilgore of Carbon Hill, AL and Daniel Kilgore of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Lois King of Selma, AL and Lillie Harten of MI; and one grandchild, Elliott.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Young officiating.  Burial will follow in the Broad Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
