Madelyn Elizabeth House, 91, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Wesley Pines Nursing Home.

Madelyn was a faithful member of Rozier Baptist Church for over forty years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Callie Register; her husband, Rev. Thomas H. House; two brothers, Horace Register and Mitchell Register, and a sister, Doris Butler.

She is survived by one son, David Townsend and his wife Donna of Saint Pauls; a daughter, Pat Inman and her husband Carlton of Lumberton; a brother, Wayne Register of Saint Pauls; a sister, Melba Walters of Saint Pauls; three grandchildren, Aaron Inman, Josh Inman and Drew Townsend; as well as five great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service held in the chapel at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, on Wednesday, November 13th at 2:00 pm. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial in New Hollywood Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.
