Lyzett Evans Strickland, age 81, of Fairmont passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her home.

She was born June 19, 1939 in Robeson County, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Montgomery Evans, Sr. and Mary Ivey Evans; a daughter, Wanda Webb. three brothers, Paul Evans, Hal Evans and M.G Evans; and five sisters, Gladys Ford, Louise Sealey, Edna "Tinnie" Earl Loper, Grace Rogers, and Bobby Jean Evans.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Strickland of the home; one daughter, Kay Chamberlain of the home; one sister, Elizabeth "Lib" Lupo of Lake View, SC, one brother, Jimmy Ray Evans of Lake View, SC, and one grandchild, Lonnie Webb.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2pm at Evans Family Cemetery 6411 Hwy. 904 Fairmont.
