Lydia Stevenson's Obituary
Lydia Elizabeth "Bessie" Stevenson, 95, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Wilson Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1922. Lydia was a longtime resident of Lumberton and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lumberton. She loved her home on Chestnut Street, which she shared with her husband of more than 50 years, Robert M. Stevenson, Sr., and her son. Lydia was a strong and independent woman. Her smile and soft voice will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers, Lydia requested that gifts be made to First Presbyterian Church of Lumberton, PO Box 1061, Lumberton, NC 28359, or to the charity of your choice.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son.
