L.W. Lamb Jr., age 77, of 2868 Lovette Rd, Lumberton NC, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. He was born in Robeson County on July 2, 1933 to the late L.W. Lamb, Sr. and Clara Cox.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine C. Lamb; one son, Robert Lamb; grandson, Mitch Lamb; brother, Horace Lee; and mother Clara Cox Lee

Mr. Lamb is survived by two daughters, Linda Lamb Watts and her husband, Leon of Lumberton NC and Denise Lamb and her fiancée Buster Cain of Lumberton, NC; one brother, George Howard Lee of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Dell Fisher and her husband J.C. of Lumberton, NC and Doris Ross and her husband Frank of Lumberton; one sister-in-law, Betty Jo Paul of Lumberton, NC; three grandchildren, Jennifer Watts Moody and her husband Thomas of Lumberton, NC, Blair Watts and his wife Michelle of Lumberton, NC, and Matthew Lamb of Greenville, NC; and five great-grandchildren, Leslie, Seth, Hayden, Megan, and Zack.

A Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Chapel in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Worth Gerald, Rev. Johnny Bruce and Mr. Mack Johnson Jr. officiating.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, January 9, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
