Luther Carlton Robeson, age 77, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 21, 1937 to the late Jimmy Robeson and the late Martha Quick Robeson. He was married to his beloved wife for 54 years. He was a construction foreman for the City of Lumberton. He retired after 30 years of service. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Mr. Robeson is survived by his wife, Pauline Scott Robeson of the home; sons, Luther J. Robeson (Candice), Trampes Robeson, Carlton Junior Robeson, all of Lumberton, and Travis Robeson (Kimberly) of Maxton; daughters Wanda Locklear, Martha Ann Robeson, Trina Chichino, and Krystal Robeson, all of Lumberton; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Covenant Worship Center. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery in Saddletree.
