Mrs. Lula Wilcox Willoughby, 90, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Robeson County, NC on December 20, 1931 to the late Evander & Lillian Wilcox. She was a sales associate at JC Penney for more than 25 years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fitzhugh Lee Willoughby; three brothers: Earl Wilcox, Charles Wilcox, and Evander T. "Bill" Wilcox; and two sisters, Dola Mazoo and Gerotha Cox.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph S. Willoughby (Pat) of Supply, NC and Michael Randolph Willoughby (Kathy) of Fairmont, NC; three daughters: Debra Blanchard (James) of Greenville, NC, Anita Willoughby of Fayetteville, NC, Marie W. Wright of Hope Mills, NC; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Wilcox of Moncks Corner, SC; and three sisters: Geraldine Halliburton, Margaret Nance, and Brenda Taylor, all of Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Broad Ridge Baptist Church, 949 N. Broadridge Road in Orrum, NC, with Pastor Johnny Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.
