Lucille Evans, age 77, of Rowland, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1946 in Robeson County to the late Ernest and Luecellars Hunt Evans. Ms. Evans was a public school teacher for over 30 years and also served on the Board of Directors for Robeson Community College.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Ernest "Ernie" Evans, and her sister, Rosemary Evans.

Ms. Evans is survived by her sisters, Vickie Evans and Betty Deese, and her brother, Felix "Pete" Evans.

A visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ashpole Center United Methodist Church, 3233 S. Robeson Road in Rowland, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
