Lucille Jenkins Barnes, 83, of 2580 Princess Anne Road, Orrum, NC died on April 16, 2009 a Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born on August 4, 1925 to Sandy Jenkins and Benna Grimsley in Robeson County, NC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Barnes; her son, Robert Barnes; and two brothers, George Jenkins and Earl Jenkins.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Barnes, Jr. of AL and Ronald Earl Barnes of McCain, NC; and two special friends, Martha Britt and Mavis Branch.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Fairmont Cemetery in Fairmont, NC at 3:00 PM with the Reverend William Gentry officiating. The family will receive visitors after the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Barnesville Baptist Church.
