Louise Sandlin Kinney, 82, died on March 8, 2009. She was born and raised in Franklin, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Sandlin and Rosa Davis Sandlin. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Frances Eley, Madeline Edwards and Dora Laney; and two brothers, Bob Sandlin and Joe Sandlin. She lived and worked in Richmond, Virginia, Washington, DC, and Bowie, Maryland. She retired from the Maryland Public School System before moving to Lumberton, North Carolina in 1986.

She is survived by her husband Clay Thomas Kinney of Lumberton, North Carolina as well as her son Joseph Carl Kinney, daughter-in-law Connie Melvin Kinney and three granddaughters, Harriett Louise Kinney, Constance Elizabeth Kinney and Victoria Rose Kinney of Aiken, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends at Floyd Mortuary, 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton, North Carolina on March 10, 2009 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. A graveside service will follow at the Meadowbrook Cemetery at 11:00 AM. The Reverend James Archer Johnson will be officiating.
