Mrs. Louise H. Huggins, 87, went to her eternal home on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton.

She grew up in Lumberton and married her childhood sweetheart, James Huggins, who predeceased her in May 2011. Together they owned & operated shoe repair shops in Lumberton, King, and Winston-Salem.

She is survived by her five children: Jim (Sandra) of Virginia Beach, VA, Steve (Lucy) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandra White (Mike) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Ann Medlin of Belews Creek, NC and Mark (Mary) of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with a fifth one soon to arrive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, with Rev. David Anderson officiating.
